Learn how to skate safely from a SkateIA and ICP certified instructor, who can notice things about your technique that you may not notice when learning on your own. Get better, faster, while safely having fun!
For the first lesson, we will go over the basics of skating: how to properly fall to avoid injury, and how to get back up again; movement & transitions (starting, stopping, skating forward, turns, to make sure that your fundamentals and technique are good); weight transfer (skate to skate, front to back); and begin focusing on skating goals that you want to achieve. Future lessons reinforce prior lessons and can move on to things like crossovers, backwards skating, basic dance moves, etc. Lessons are tailored to each student's skill level and what they want to learn.
A helmet and protective pads (knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards) are mandatory.
Lessons are normally $65 per person, but if you sign up at the Kailua Fall Festival, It's only $30 for your first lesson, or $40 if you bring a friend! That is a windfall of savings at 50% off!
