January 19: Martin Luther King Parade
Join Sk8 Ambitions for the annual Martin Luther King Parade on January 19 ! Meet at the Magic Island parking lot at Ala Moana Beach Park at 7:3am. The parade starts at 9am and winds through Waikiki, ending at Kapiʻolani Park. Click here to register or text 808-375-8676 to let them know that you are coming! Skaters and walkers welcome!

January 24: Windward Skate Meetup
Windward Skaters: YOU ASKED FOR IT, WE'RE BRINGING IT!
We are hosting a skate meetup out in Kailua, and everyone is invited! This event is on Saturday, January 24, from 5pm-7pm at the volleyball court at Enchanted Lake Community Park in Kailua. It's free and open to all ages, wheels, genders, and skill levels. Marino the Funky Ninja will be laying out his favorite disco tunes and skate jams for those of you who want to stay in one place, skate, and dance! If you are more adventurous, Melissa will take you out for a short trail skate on the smooth bike lanes along Keolu Drive. Come meet other Eastside skaters, make new friends, and have a great time!

January 28: Bearings Cleaning Party!
With the new year here, it's a good time to get your skates ready for 2026! ! If you have never cleaned your bearings and want to learn, or if you simply want to clean your bearings with other fun people, join us for a bearings cleaning party at our shop! We'll also be making pivot cups and doing general skate maintenance, so come join us! The party is on Wednesday, January 28, from 5pm-7pm, at our skate shop. BYO beverages and snacks! January 31: Skate Movie Night: Roll Bounce
Join us for Skate Movie Night!
We are starting a monthly series of skate-related movies here at the shop! It's family-friendly and free! This first month's film is Roll Bounce, the classic 2005 comedy-drama starting Bow Wow as the leader of a roller skating crew in 1970s Chicago.
We will screen the film at the shop on January 31 from 6pm-8pm.
Future films and shows will range from light-hearted fantasies to serious documentaries, all with a connection to skating. We hope you can join us!

Skate park skaters! Drop in to the new year with a bunch of fun skate park meetups in January! CIB Oʻahu hosts a series of meetups at various skate parks around Oʻahu. Whether you are an intermediate/advanced skater who wants to find a solid crew to skate and hang out with, or if you are new to skate parks and want to learn, join them for the experience. See the flyer above for dates, times, and locations! Free unless otherwise noted; all wheels, ages, genders, and skill levels are welcome!

Various Dates: RollerPole Class at Fit for a Goddess
Grab your indoor skates and turn on the disco lights! Fit For A Goddess is excited to invite you to PolerSkating! Led by instructor/choreographer Brandie Markos, the class will focus on skating forwards, backwards, side surfing, and pole spins. A small piece of choreography will taught so you can shake your groove thang and dance it out! All levels welcome, however a completion of a level 1 beginner pole series is encouraged. Bring your own skates, knee/elbow/ wrist pads. Classes are held at Fit For A Goddessʻ studio and start at 4:30pm on class dates.

February 1: Love & RNB 90s Adult Skate Night
You asked...Sk8 Ambitions listened! Presented in collaboration with KIHA Public Skate and Bag Boyz Entertainment, Sk8 Ambitions presents Love & RNB 90s Adult Skate Night, a night of your favorite 1990s skate jams! DJ Geno and DJ RudeDogg will bring the throwback party vibes! Admission is $15 with optional skate rentals at $5; bring your own skates for free! March 1: Battle of the Saints Roller Derby Bout
Pacific Roller Derby kicks off the 2026 season with a Battle of the Saints on March 1 at the Mililani Outdoor Hockey Rink! First whistle is at 4pm. St. Valentine or St. Patrick: who will be the victor? Come cheer on the home teams in person, or catch the action online on PRD's Twitch, to find out!

March 8: Pacific Roller Derby 2026 Season Informational Meeting
Curious about roller derby? Join Pacific Roller Derby on March 8 for an interest meeting for their first new skater and volunteer intake of 2026. The league is recruiting skaters, officials, and volunteers--no experience required! Even if you have never put quad skates on your feet, PRD will teach you from the ground up.
Whether you want to hit the track, ref the chaos, or help make the magic happen behind the scenes, there is a place for you with Pacific Roller Derby.

Every Sunday Afternoon: Intermediate/Advanced Skate Workshop Series
Level up every Sunday at Sk8 Ambitions' Intermediate/Advanced Skate Workshop series! Surround yourself with skaters who want to grow too; it’s the best way to improve.

Sunday evenings from 6pm-close are Adult Skate Night at KIHA Public Skate, presented by Sk8 Ambitions. Leave the kids at home and come out for a night of 17+ fun!

Every Tuesday Evening: The Weekly Skate Meetup
Get your almost-midweek skate on with a family-friendly all-ages skate meetup at the Patsy Mink Central Oʻahu Regional Park! Hosted by the Rainbow Rollers, this meetup happens from 6:30pm-9:30pm and is open to skaters of all ages and skill levels from all over the island. Every Weekend: KIHA Public Skate
Come skate the only indoor roller rink on Oʻahu!
The Kapolei Inline Hockey Arenas open their doors every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for public skating. Visit their Public Skate website for the most up-to-date hours, entry fees, skate session times, rentals, and more information. Each session except for Sunday Adult Night is all-ages, so bring the keiki and make it a family evening out!
