July 20: Worldwide Rollout Day Celebration

Join us along with our friends at Pacific Roller Derby, Sk8 Ambitions, CIB Oʻahu, and Rainbow Rollers as we celebrate Worldwide Rollout Day on July 20, a week later than the official date of July 14, to #spreadlove and to #rolltoerasehate ! Come for a quiet slow roll through the neighborhoods of Hawaiʻi Kai, followed by a BBQ and skating at the roller rink (hosted by Rainbow Rollers )and skate park (thanks to CIB Oʻahu )!

Bring some school supplies to donate to the Sk8 Ambitions annual Back To School Drive!

Meet at 3pm at Kamiloʻiki Community Park. All wheels, ages, genders, and skill levels are welcome. It's a potluck, so bring a dish to share!

Skate park skaters! CIB Oʻahu hosts a series of meetups this month at various skate parks around Oahu. Whether you are an intermediate/advanced skater who wants to find a solid crew to skate and hang out with, or if you are new to skate parks and want to learn, join them for the experience. See the flyer above for dates, times, and locations! Free unless otherwise noted; all wheels and skill levels welcome!

  • Saturday, July 20, Kamiloʻiki Community Park, 3pm-6pm, celebrating Worldwide Rollout Day with us, Sk8 Ambitions, and Pacific Roller Derby
  • Saturday, July 27, Manana Skate Park, 3pm-5pm


July 28: Roller Skate Party at the Stadium

Free Spirits Hawaiʻi and Roller Skate Oʻahu are taking you back with a roller rink skate event in celebration of the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet 45th Anniversary! With music by Marino the Funky DJ Ninja , this is one party that you do not want to miss!

$20/session; each session is an hour. If the next session is not fully booked, you are welcome to stay! Click here to register and purchase tickets. Skate rentals & lessons available for an additional fee. A limited amount of skate rentals are available. Skate at your own risk. You are welcome to bring your own skates!

The event will be held in the Aloha Stadium Hospitality Room, where VIPs, headliners, and special guests would hang out and mingle before a football game or concert! The room has a very smooth polished concrete floor!

Here is your opportunity to create some fun memories and say that you skated at the stadium!


August 3-4: 808 HI Rollers O'ahu and SkateIA present Learn To Skate!

Just got some new skates and want to learn how to use them? Already know how to somewhat roll forward but need help turning and stopping? Want to learn how to safely fall and get up? This beginners course is great for all ages and a good way to learn the basics of skating. Click here for more details and for instructions on how to register. Limited spots available.

  • Saturday, August 3, at Kamilo'iki Roller Hockey Rink in Hawai'i Kai (from the parking lot, go LEFT towards the roller hockey rink instead of right towards the skateboard park)
  • Sunday, August 4, at the covered parking lot at 340 Uluniu St (please park on-street; metered parking is free on Sundays)
  • Open Skate from 3pm-4pm
  • Learn to Skate Class from 4pm-5pm

August 4: West Side Sunset Skate with @spunkysk8s

@spunkysk8s is back! While home visiting family, she will be organizing and leading a skate through one of her favorite trails! Meet at Maʻili Access Road in Waianae at 5:30pm on Sunday, August 4. This slow roll skate is great for all ages and skill levels, a perfect easygoing skate along a nice scenic path around sunset. September 14-15: Chi to HI: JB Skate Workshop

Sk8 Ambitions presents a JB Skate Workshop with Pooh Elite! JB Skating is a style of dynamic dance skating that developed from the dance moves of James Brown. Pooh Elite is back to teach a series of workshops at KIHA Public Skate for skaters interested in the style.

  • Saturday, September 14: Intro to JB Skating (for skaters new to the style)
  • Sunday, September 15: Routines, Combinations, and Middle Work (for skaters familiar with the basics of JB Skating and looking to expand their skills)

Please note: this is NOT a Learn to Skate class. Students must already be comfortable with their balance and possess the skills to competently skate forward, turn, and stop.


October 12: Unity Jam Hawaiʻi

Hawaii's homegrown skate contest celebrating incredible local and worldwide skate talent is back, and it's going to be bigger than ever! Save the date NOW! The event will happen on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Manana Skate Park in Aiea. Details to come.


November 8-11: Aloha Skate Mashup Roller Derby Tournament

Aloha Skate Roller Derby hosts the first ever "Draft" roller derby tournament in Hawaiʻi! The tournament will be held in Waimea on the Big Island and include skaters from all over the islands, across the country, and around the world! Pacific Roller Derby 2024 Season

Oahu's premiere roller derby league and this season's Hulagans team are ready to roll! Support Pacific Roller Derby by attending this year's campaign!

All home games will be held at Mililani Roller Hockey Rink and are free to attend unless indicated otherwise. Click here for the most up-to-date schedule.

  • August 25: Garden Island Renegade Rollerz (GIRR) vs Hulagans at Kapaʻa, Kauaʻi

  • October 27: PRD Halloween-themed home game
  • November 17: PRD holiday-themed home game


Sundays: Junior Roller Derby

Pacific Roller Derby invites youth of all genders, ages 6-17, to learn a new sport and have fun doing it! Practices & scrimmages are on Sundays from 1:30pm-2:30pm at the Mililani Roller Hockey Rink. This is a great way to get your keiki to learn to skate, spend quality time outdoors with ʻohana, get some exercise, make new friends, and have fun at the same time. Every Sunday Morning: Sunday Brunch Skate

Start your week with a nice relaxing brunch skate with a bunch of cool people! Hosted by sk8r.lisa , this meetup is free and open to all ages and skill levels. Whether you are a beginner just starting your skate journey, or an experienced skater wanting to learn some dance skate choreography to add to your "toolbox," this is a great meetup to take part in. Every Tuesday Evening: The Weekly Skate Meetup

Get your almost-midweek skate on with a family-friendly all-ages skate meetup at the Patsy Mink Central Oʻahu Regional Park! Hosted by Harmony Moses (sk8rbabe88 on Instagram), this meetup happens from 6pm-9pm and is open to skaters of all ages and skill levels from all over the island.


Every Weekend: KIHA Public Skate

Come skate the only indoor roller rink on Oʻahu!

The Kapolei Inline Hockey Arenas open their doors every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for public skating. Visit their Public Skate website for the most up-to-date hours, entry fees, skate session times, rentals, and more information. Each session except for Sunday Adult Night is all-ages, so bring the keiki and make it a family evening out!


Sunday evenings from 6pm-close are Adult Skate Night presented by Sk8 Ambitions. Leave the kids at home and come out for a night of 17+ fun!
