September 4: Roller Skate Oahu Popup Shop at Lokahi Kailua Market
Seems just like last week we had a popup shop...We're back at Lokahi Kailua Market on Sunday, September 4, serving up skate wheels, toe caps, tools, safety pads, accessories, skates, and more! Drop by between 9am-1pm to pick up some gear or to try on a new pair. Don't forget to bring socks! Already have skates and just want to skate? Bring your skates, the market is skater-friendly! August 13 and 27: Westside Skate Meetup
Tori Wonsowicz and Harmony Moses invite skaters from the west side and all over the island to their Westside Skate Meetup at Geiger Park from 6pm-9pm, August 13 and 27. Free event, open to all ages and skill levels. Come to one meetup, or both!
August 14: Hawaii United Skaters American Cancer Society Making Strides Team Kickoff Party
"Unko Jerry" Anderson of Hawaii United Skaters/Ol' Skool Rollers is putting together a team to skate the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Event on October 22 at 7am at Ke'ehi Lagoon. Join him on Sunday, August 14, at Kapolei Inline Hockey Arenas from 6-8pm for the kickoff party! This is a 18+ event with $15 entry fee.

August 17 or 27: Roller Pole Class by Brandie Markos
Calling all Goddesses! Discover your inner Skate Goddess and join Brandie Markos in a fun Roller Pole Class, Wednesday, August 17, at 7:15pm, or Saturday, August 27, starting at 4:30pm, at Fit For A Goddess! Individuals are encouraged to take at least an Intro to Pole class to familiarize themselves with basic knowledge of using a pole; however, it is not necessary. Class is still fun regardless. Bring your skates and a great open-minded attitude! Send a DM to Brandie for more details and to register.

August 20: Waikoloa Skate Jam
Big Island park skaters! The Waikōloa skate jam will be on Saturday, August 20, at the Waikōloa skate park on the Big Island. For quad skaters, there will be some really great prizes, including something from us :) Registration starts at noon. DM Nica Parks for details and more info.
August 21: Pacific Roller Derby Sailors vs. Sirens Scrimmage
Join Pacific Roller Derby for their second scrimmage of the year, Sailors VS Sirens! This event will be held on Sunday, August 21, from 4pm-6pm at Mililani Outdoor Hockey Rink (95-1001 Makaunulau St), and it is family friendly and FREE! Bring your cold beverage of choice to cheer on the teams as they go head to head to declare winners of the water! The team has been skating hard and are ready to bring it to the track for a salty face off!
Sunscreen, water, and a hat may be a good idea. This venue has bleacher seating.
October 1-2: Unity Jam Hawaii
Unity Jam Hawaii is Hawaii's first premiere quad and inline skate competition, happening on October 1 and 2. With over $3000 worth of prizes, this is an opportunity for local skate park skaters to challenge themselves and each other for great prizes while providing a safe space for skaters from all walks of life to network, learn, grow, inspire, and have a great time jamming on wheels. October 22-23: Honolulu Skate Dance Workshops with Morgan Weske
Sk8 Ambitions is bringing Dance Skate creator & choreographer Morgan Weske to Honolulu to teach a series of dance skate workshops for beginners and intermediate/advanced students! Come learn from one of the skate world's most respected skate dance teachers!
Classes are $25 per individual class or for $40 for a full pass (one beginner class and one intermediate/advanced class on the same day) and DO NOT include rental skates (you must bring your own). Click here for more information and to register.

Skate park skaters! CIB Oahu hosts a series of meetups this month at various skate parks around Oahu. Whether you're an intermediate/advanced skater who wants to find a solid crew to skate and hang out with, or if you're new to skate parks and want to learn, join them for the experience. See the flyer above for dates, times, and locations! Free unless otherwise noted; all wheels and skill levels welcome!

Monthly Ohana/Keiki Sunday Sessions
Mayan Tamang and Unity Jam Hawaii host monthly park skate meetups for families and children at various skate parks around Oahu. Bring the ohana to hang out and skate for the day while giving keiki a safe space to play, practice, and shred! See the flyer above for dates and locations. 9am-2pm. Free to attend and open to all ages, wheels, and skill levels!

Every Friday evening: Magic Island Slalom Sessions
Every Friday evening, Jumar Campollo and Moses Claveria Jr. organize an open skate session at Magic Island. While the emphasis is on slalom skating (learn how to skate tricks around a straight line of cones!), the meetups are open to any skater of any level looking to have a good time and skate! Meetups start around 8:30pm and go until the park closes at 10pm. Meet at the first row of the parking lot closest to the street.
Every Friday evening: Kapolei Sunset Street & Jam Skate
Join Hilda Correa as she leads a relaxed street skate along the Kapolei Bike Path, followed by a fun jam skate session at Mehana Park. Meet at Mehana Park at 6pm. Free meetup, all ages and skill levels invited!
Every Monday evening: Mondays at Mililani
Harmony Moses hosts a weekly meetup every Monday at Mililani District Park from 6pm-9pm. Join her and some cool skaters as they start off the week with a fun skate session and get-together. Free family-friendly meetup, bring the kids and ohana! Skaters of all ages and skill levels are welcome!
Every Weekend: KIHA Public Skate
Come skate the only indoor roller rink on Oahu!
The Kapolei Inline Hockey Arenas open their doors every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for public skating. Visit their Public Skate website for hours, entry fees, skate session times, rentals, and more information. Sunday evenings from 6pm-8pm are Adult Skate Night. Leave the kids at home and come out for a night of 18+ fun!
