September 30: Kailua Fall Festival

🚨 Save the date! We are a confirmed vendor at Kailua's biggest block party of the year! It's the Kailua Fall Fest!

We will have a popup in front of Down to Earth and be there to share our love of skating with you!

We will also have some wheels, toe caps, toe guards, laces, and other accessories available for purchase.

We will also have friends from Pacific Roller Derby, CIB Oʻahu, Sk8 Ambitions, and Rainbow Rollers to tell you about their great organizations and their upcoming events! If you ever wanted to get into roller derby, park skating, or go to any of the dance skate meetups but have been nervous about going, here is a fantastic opportunity to meet the people behind these skate groups and find out more about them!

Skate park skaters!  CIB Oʻahu hosts a series of meetups this month at various skate parks around Oahu.  Whether you're an intermediate/advanced skater who wants to find a solid crew to skate and hang out with, or if you're new to skate parks and want to learn, join them for the experience.  See the flyer above for dates, times, and locations! Free unless otherwise noted; all wheels and skill levels welcome!

October 7-8: 808 HI Rollers O'ahu and SkateIA present Learn To Skate!

Just got some new skates and want to learn how to use them? Already know how to somewhat roll forward but need help turning and stopping? Want to learn how to safely fall and get up? This beginners course is great for all ages and a good way to learn the basics of skating. Click here for more details and for instructions on how to register. Limited spots available.

October 7: Making Strides for Breast Cancer with the Sk8 Ambitions Traveling Skate Club

Cancer is one of those things that has touched everyone's lives, including all of us at Roller Skate O'ahu. On October 7, join the Sk8 Ambitions Traveling Skate Club at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk! Bring your skates as they plan to skate the route!

Various Dates: Roller Pole Class with Brandie Markos

Calling all Goddesses! Discover your inner Skate Goddess and join Brandie Markos in a fun Roller Pole Class at 4:45pm at Fit For A Goddess! Individuals are encouraged to take at least an Intro to Pole class to familiarize themselves with basic knowledge of using a pole; however, it is not necessary. Class is still fun regardless. October 14-15: Skills n' Drills Workshop with Appelusa

Presented by Sk8 Ambitions, the Skills n Drills Workshop with Appelusa is a wokshop series that will enhance your skating abilities in any discipline with mastering of foundational skills for beginner/intermediate level skaters; an introduction to art skating for intermediate/advanced skaters; and having fun practicing performance choreography for advanced skaters. October 21: 808 HI Rollers O'ahu and Skate IA presents Open Skate!

808 HI Rollers Oʻahu and SkateIA present an open skate for all levels. This is an excellent way to practice the skills that you have been learning at the Learn to Skate classes or any skate classes that you are taking. Open Skate happens on Saturday, October 21, from 3pm-6pm at Kamilo'iki Roller Hockey Rink in Hawai'i Kai. If you are interested, click here for more details and for instructions on how to register.

Every Thursday Evening: How We Roll Thursdays

Kickstart your roller skating weekend early on Thursday nights with a meetup at Ewa Mahiko District Park! Hosted by Jenai Chin, this free family-friendly meetup happens from 6:30pm-9:30pm and is open to skaters of all ages and skill levels.

 

Every Sunday Morning: Sunday Brunch Skate

Start your week with a nice relaxing brunch skate with a bunch of cool people! Hosted by sk8r.lisa , this meetup is free and open to all ages and skill levels. Whether you are a beginner just starting your skate journey, or an experienced skater wanting to learn some dance skate choreography to add to your "toolbox," this is a great meetup to take part in. Every Weekend: KIHA Public Skate

Come skate the only indoor roller rink on Oʻahu!

The Kapolei Inline Hockey Arenas open their doors every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for public skating. Visit their Public Skate website for hours, entry fees, skate session times, rentals, and more information. Each session except for Sunday Adult Night is all-ages, so bring the keiki and make it a family evening out!

Sunday evenings from 6pm-close are Adult Skate Night presented by Sk8 Ambitions. Leave the kids at home and come out for a night of 17+ fun!
